Charlesmark is a 40-room boutique hotel situated in the Back Bay district of Boston. It’s rather close to downtown, the city hall being 1.5 miles away which takes about half an hour to walk. Coupley Square is right around the corner, and with public transportation all the important areas of this city can be reached in no time.
What people who stayed here liked about
Location – Indeed, Boston is a big city and while it takes a while to walk to Downtown, this boutique hotel is located in the upscale Back Bay area with many sights (such as Copley Square and Hynes Convention Center). And don’t forget there’s the subway station next door which takes you to downtown if you don’t want to walk.
Comfortable rooms – Clean, simple yet elegant interiors, said many travelers about the rooms. It looks like Charlesmark is one of the quintessential boutique hotels in Boston!
Staff – Many left comments that the staff is helpful here. It’s one of the key elements to make your stay comfortable.
What people who stayed here didn’t like
Breakfast – There was some criticism about breakfast, saying it had limited options. This is unfortunate if you’re hungry in the morning, luckily the area is full of restaurants you can go to (which of course means that more money will be spent).
Small rooms – Even though rooms were otherwise good, some people didn’t like the size. It mostly matters if you have a lot of luggage with you.
Hotel rate is high for parking – Somebody said that the price the hotel gives for parking in the nearby garage (28 USD) is higher than you get if you use a parking application on your mobile phone.
Fastest way to get to downtown
Copley subway station, take green line to Haymarket. The total travel time is about 10 minutes.
